When I arrived in Melbourne last week I shocked to see everything so green and the rain continues to poor across the country. It is quite bizarre weather for this time of year.
Australia I thought bowled much better yesterday than the first test however they were outclassed completely in the end. We seem to want to run Trott into form also as we have now dropped him 4 times in two test matches. All in all I am happy with the pace attack however Doherty struggled a bit yesterday.
So there continues to be many chances for Australian domestic players to come in including:
- Copeland (young fast bowler)
- C White (should be in the side anyway since is a natural leader)
- Uzeman
- P Hughes
- S Marsh
- Hauritz (bowling well again)
If Australia get out of this test then they are very bloody lucky...........

Luke, you've definitely got to revise your assessment of the bowlers, if your guys were in form they would at least be keeping it tight even if they weren't getting wickets. Look at Stuart Broad he's going for two an over! Harris might be a keeper but Bollinger has done nothing to impress, Johnson might have to come back for his batting.
Sorry mate. Your blokes are in good nick and there is no denying this. I do not deny they are not Warne & McGrath though. Doherty is vunerable.
They have broked record after record (some have stood for over 100 years)against Australia.
All your players have now matured and each played 40 plus test and are hardened & ready to take on the world. I mentioned before if they tick off this tour then by next year you will be No.1 world champions.
You do need a 5th bowler though however this will come once Collingwood goes in time.
Hi Luke - During the year I think Collingwood will be replaced by Morgan. I think that we will continue to play four regular bowlers with Pieterson taking up the overs Collingwood chips in with.
I agree about Collingwood but who is going to catch all those chances at slip when Swanny is bowling, Swann is our next best slipper! I haven't seen anything in Morgan's fielding which looks anything like as good. And remember if we have 6 good batsman we could go back to playing 5 bowlers.
